CONVENTIONAL VS UNCONVENTIONAL DESIGN

GO BACK
These A4 posters explored the use of conventional and unconventional design using the topic of Second Hand Fashion. Both posters explore the topic personality including creativity, consciousness, sustainability and individuality. The designs both feature the same hero image, a pile of clothing to represent the textiles that end up in landfill. The same colour palette is used, portraying sustainability and playfulness with the striking colours.

The conventional design on the left features an overall stable design with minimal movement, reflecting the mindful nature of second hand fashion. A customised typeface was used to reflect the personalisation of curating a sustainable wardrobe. The unconventional design on the right features dynamic movement with organic paths, enhancing the idea of individuality and experimentation through curating a personalised wardrobe. The design utilises a 2000's inspired typeface which has been warped to reflect the fluidity of developing personal style.
